It may be safe to say that the AKIRA Garden of Eden Fashion Show at Galleria Marchetti is one of the biggest fashion events of Chicago. This was our fourth year Molise PR handled public relations for the event. The collaboration of AKIRA staff and an army of volunteers from event beneficiary Imerman Angels led to an explosion in attendance figures for the fourth consecutive year.

The true test of a great party is when crashers arrive and pretend to be members of the press.  We had plenty of that this year, but our media gate was iron-clad under the supervision of Katie Schroeder, Tara Peitzer and the amazing Aaron Shirley. Huge appreciation goes to our generous guests who paid to benefit one-on-one cancer support by matching and pairing survivors with fighters. Emceed by WGN anchor and cancer survivor Dina Bair and Julian from B96, the event included live performances by the Chicago Cultural Alliance as well as an expansive silent auction. The fashion show also included a mesmerizing performance by the Aloft Aerial Dancers featuring renowned tenor Mark Piekarz.
